Everything we build with our Youtube clients all comes down to ideation. We are concept developers at heart, and when it comes to the animation process itself, styleframes are easily one of our favorite pieces to create early on in production. So what better way to celebrate them than with a platform dedicated entirely to their existence?
If you’re unfamiliar with the animation and motion design worlds, you may be asking yourself, “what is a styleframe?” Well, a styleframe is a fully-designed frame or series of frames that captures the overall mood and style of a video, allowing the viewer to get an idea of what the finished video might look like. Sometimes the initial vision captured in the styleframe(s) is carried through to the end of the video project, and other times it’s either revamped into something different or ends up in the creative archives. They’re powerful, informative and educational pieces of still art that establish the foundation of any animation project, locking in the concept and creative direction from the very beginning.
Our industry podcast exists to celebrate the art of styleframes as well as the members of the animation and motion design communities who are creating them. It’s a diverse look at how the work we create is done, and it’s our way of giving back to a community we wouldn’t exist without.
