edtech VIRTUAL LEARNING – Motion GRAPHICS TOOLKIT

OVERview

When the world came to a sudden halt as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers of every grade and specialty were forced to think on their toes as they made a sudden pivot to virtual learning. Innovation and resourcefulness were necessary to keep kids engaged and on track with their curriculums. The Formerle team knew we wanted to offer our services here, and collaborating with NJ educators during this time was a no brainer.

KEEP THEM ENGAGED.

Lesson plans were crucial to virtual learning during the pandemic, but a hurdle still remained: “how do we keep remote students focused and engaged? What’s an innovative way to hold the attention of a young mind?"

Our partnership with teachers allowed us to convey their lesson plans, lectures, assignments and educator-to-student communication with fun and playful graphics. We were able to map our video production pipeline to the needs of our teacher friends, ultimately delivering tailored content that fit perfectly into their curriculum for the rest of the academic year.

FLIPGRID FOR THE WIN.

In addition to these custom graphics, Formerle also created content for the social learning platform, Flipgrid. Teachers use Flipgrid to help students engage in meaningful discourse, usually in the form of call-and-response videos, so that students can reply to the questions posed by their teachers, and interact with their classmates based on their responses. We crafted animated intros for these discussions and edited everything together in a way that educators could use at their disposal.
