mc marketing & content – Ms. Chester intro

OVERVIEW

The rise of influencer marketing has completely transformed how brands sell and connect with consumers. And with more and more brands realizing the potential of partnering with influential individuals to reach their target audiences, influencer marketing has not only become a legitimate marketing strategy, but a multi-billion dollar industry. Caitlin O’Neill, aka Ms. Chester, is this one of these hyper-local influencers and works with some of the biggest brands here in New Jersey. So when the folks of MC Marketing & Content, Ms. Chester’s digital marketing agency, reached out about creating some branded motion graphics, we knew we couldn’t let the opportunity pass us by.

Social media influencers are often viewed as thought leaders in their industry by introducing their clients’ products, services and ideas in uniquely authentic ways. And it’s their authenticity that sets them apart. Ms. Chester is certainly no different. As someone who relies heavily on social media to promote her clients’ businesses, we knew the branded content we were going to make had to establish a meaningful balance between Ms. Chester, the influencer, and Caitlin O’Neill, the business entrepreneur. We took the time to get to know Caitlin and Ms. Chester, to really understand her story, and let’s just say that it was one of the most inspirational stories we’ve ever heard. Once we had a good idea of the persona behind the brands, it was off to concept development and production.

WRITING HER OWN STORY.

Despite the short list of motion graphics deliverables produced, we felt it was necessary to bring Caitlin and the MC Marketing & Content team through our entire creative pipeline. We wanted them to feel comfortable at every milestone, but most importantly, we wanted them to feel like co-creators with us. To start, storyboards and brief character designs were created to visualize the short story format, and provide Ms. Chester’s team with insight into the creative direction we planned to take. Simple, geometric characters and scenes coupled with whimsical animation ended up being the perfect combination, and captured the dichotomy of the Ms. Chester and MC Marketing & Content brands perfectly. Styleframes were also created to give Caitlin and her team an idea of how the aesthetic would come together too.

AND building an empire.

The end result was an intro animation that can be used as evergreen content giving Ms. Chester and her team the flexibility to intro or outro out of her own agency’s videos. It can also serve as the foundation for future motion branding should the MC Marketing & Content team decide to expand their brand presence onto platforms like Youtube.

We had a wonderful time crafting some of the most fun motion graphics to date, collaborating with Caitlin’s agency, and look forward to following all that MC Marketing & Content’s has in store for the future.
